Inside Story

The interior of this handsome house is full of charm and character with original artworks on the walls, antique and modern furnishings and masses of space in which to spread out and relax.

On the ground floor a large, light, triple-aspect sitting room has superb views and a wood burning stove to gather around on cooler evenings. Beside it a spacious dining room opens into the compact kitchen which is well stocked with equipment. There is also a little office/snug to escape to if so desired!
Up on the first floor are three country chic bedrooms straight out of Homes and Gardens magazine; a master with super-king size bed with Vi-sprung mattress and en-suite shower room plus two attractive twin rooms and a family bathroom. All are furnished with pretty fabrics and luxury linens.
The lower ground floor master bedroom suite is the choice for romantic couples with a super-king size bed decked in beautiful linens, a wood burner, shower room and doors to a private patio. Outside there is a large wrap-around garden, a wonderland for children to hide in and for adults to sit back and relish the views whilst seafood sizzles on the barbecue.
There is also a shower room on this floor, plus a large walk-in shower for sandy surfers, and a little kitchenette for the all-important morning cup of tea.

Outdoor Living

The gardens surround the house with lawns, terraces and ample space for relaxing, reading or running about! There is an alfresco dining area immediately outside the kitchen overlooking the valley plus a little deck with coffee table looking towards the coastline – the perfect spot for a G & T! There are manicured lawns as well as a wild flower garden with pathways through.

Out and About

Crackington Haven is a small seaside village with a friendly atmosphere. The village is home to a grocery store and post office which is well stocked for holiday makers. Just a mile down the lane, Crackington Haven Beach is shingly with lots of rock pools and sand at low tide. There is a pub and two cafés, all of which cater well for families with ice creams, pasties and much more! Dogs are welcome on the beach out of season but in the summer months head for Blackrock beach on the way to Bude. For a wider expanse of sand and watersports head to Widemouth Bay just a few miles east of Crackington Haven. This vast beach is a great spot for swimming, surfing and sunbathing and both are lifeguarded in the summer months.

This stretch of the north Cornish coast is dramatic and rugged with stunning walking along the coastal footpath towards Boscastle in the west and Widemouth Bay and Bude in the east. The latter is a great little seaside resort with some good restaurants, cafes, shops and galleries to explore.
